How it works

From submission to scores in three steps.

−1 credit

Submit your frame

Select any frame in Figma. The plugin anonymises it — text becomes gray bars, colours turn grayscale, images become placeholders. Choose a feedback focus and submit.

Receive three reviews

Three designers independently rate your anonymised layout on Clarity, Hierarchy, and Balance. Each adds written notes — what works, what to improve.

Why anonymise?

Good design critique is about structure — not subject matter. When reviewers can't see your copy or brand, their feedback focuses on what actually matters: hierarchy, balance, and visual clarity.

Anonymisation also removes the risk of sharing sensitive work-in-progress. You get honest critique without worrying about NDA violations or competitive exposure.

Reviewers judge structure, not your brand.

Your original never leaves Figma. The anonymised copy is deleted the moment you read your feedback.

  • Text stripped to gray bars

Every text layer is replaced with a gray rectangle sized to match the original. Reviewers see layout rhythm, not your actual words.

  • Colours neutralised to grayscale

Every fill, stroke, and gradient is converted to its luminance equivalent. Your brand palette stays invisible.

  • Images replaced with placeholders

Image fills and embedded assets swap for neutral rectangles. Reviewers evaluate composition without seeing your photos.

  • Original never leaves Figma

Only the anonymised version is ever transmitted. Your source file, layers, and assets stay local.

  • Anonymised image deleted after review

The moment you open your feedback, the anonymised frame is permanently deleted from our servers. If you never open it, it's automatically purged after 30 days — no exceptions.

FAQ

Common questions.

Yes. Before anything is sent, the plugin processes your frame entirely within Figma. All text layers are replaced with gray rectangles proportional to the original, all colours are converted to grayscale luminance values, and all image fills are swapped for neutral placeholders. Reviewers only receive this processed version — your original Figma file is never transmitted.

It depends on how many designers are actively reviewing. Each reviewer has a 30-minute window to complete an assigned review — if they don't, it moves to the next available reviewer. Most submissions complete within a few hours during active periods. You'll receive a notification inside the plugin when all three reviews are in.

Review other designers' frames to earn more. Every completed review earns you 1 credit. You're assigned up to 3 reviews at a time, and there's no limit on how many you can complete. You can never permanently run out of credits as long as you participate in the community.

Yes. You can cancel a submission from within the plugin. If no reviews have been received yet, your credit is fully refunded. If one or more reviews are already in, the submission stays open to protect the time reviewers have already invested.

You start with 3 free credits — enough for 3 submissions. After that, it stays free as long as you review other designers' work. There's no subscription, no premium tier, and no paid credits. The economy is built entirely on community participation.
